dabs.com, the leading UK online retailer of IT and consumer electronic goods, and TradeDoubler, Europe’s leading provider of online marketing and sales solutions, are celebrating the first anniversary of their relationship by unveiling record successes in online sales. Since the launch of the TradeDoubler affiliate programme last June, Dabs has seen a constant rise in sales, with revenue from the program reaching almost £2.5 million in the first six months of this year alone. TradeDoubler forecasts that this figure will exceed £6 million by the end of 2004, boosted by anticipated strong Christmas sales.
Dabs originally selected TradeDoubler as its online marketing partner to heighten brand awareness and reach customers in new markets. The company had set itself challenging growth targets and realised that an affiliate marketing program would be a highly profitable customer acquisition channel to help meet them.
Jonathan Wall, marketing director at Dabs, said: “The success we have enjoyed working with TradeDoubler highlights the enormous benefits of online advertising and running an affiliate marketing programme in particular. We selected TradeDoubler to run our programme on the basis of their proven credentials, size and scope in the European market. In fact, we have been so impressed with the service and results achieved that we have recently expanded our relationship with TradeDoubler to support our French site.”
Will Cooper, chief marketing officer at TradeDoubler, said: “dabs.com is a classic example of the effectiveness of affiliate marketing and the tangible results that it can generate. Measurability has been a key factor in the programme we run with Dabs. TradeDoubler’s tracking technology has allowed Dabs to consistently demonstrate the great return on investment generated by the programme”.
