30 November 2000

London, 30th November 2000 - Claranet, the UK's largest independent Internet Service Provider (ISP), has formed a partnership with TradeDoubler, the European Affiliate Network to implement an affiliate program initially for it's UK based users.

"By linking traffic from affiliate websites to the Claranet website, the company expects to increase significantly the registrations for its services. "With TradeDoubler's affiliate network, we can leverage upon the existing 30,000 affiliate relationships in the UK to increase our brand awareness and drive sales. By carefully selecting our affiliates we will be able to target both corporate customers and private individuals through the programme," said Claranet's managing director, Charles Nasser.

Claranet is intending to create private programmes for its top affiliates, which will include special higher commission rates when they have generated over a certain number of new sign-ups. The company will employ TradeDoubler for the establishment, running, support and administration of affiliate programmes in the UK.

"We are delighted that TradeDoubler's programme is to become a part of Claranet's marketing mix," says Felix Hagnö, CEO and co-founder of TradeDoubler. "I am sure that the programme will become a complete success and I look forward to a long and successful relationship with Claranet."
