TradeDoubler increases revenues by 100%

28 October 2002

As a result of TradeDoubler’s ability to significantly increase its advertisers sales it will achieve a turnover of around 15 million Euro for 2002, which is approximately twice as much as last year. The comparative turnover for Q3 2002 to the corresponding period last year shows an impressive increase of 178%. The comparison of Q3 2002 to Q2 2002 shows an increase of 29%. The gross profit for the period January to September 2002 has increased by 130% compared to the same period last year. The company’s costs have also decreased and are more than 30% lower than last year, which has been achieved through effective cost control.

All TradeDoubler’s subsidiaries throughout Europe have shown profitability since the beginning of the year. TradeDoubler as a whole has maintained a positive cash flow during 2002 and after the summer the TradeDoubler group passed break even.

The ability to reach profitability has been assisted by the launch of a wider range of solutions. These solutions are aimed at larger companies with multiple channels in the need of a management tool to optimize their online business, manage relationships and administer campaigns.

TradeDoubler’s CEO Martin Henricson is very pleased and satisfied with the results and explains “At TradeDoubler we have always been very confident of our business model and that we can make marketing and sales on the Internet work as well as deliver good results for our clients in a cost efficient way. However, we did not expect such a dramatic improvement in our results, which has lead to TradeDoubler performing 50% better than budget in terms of revenue in September and almost the same again in terms of gross profit.”

During the year TradeDoubler has continued expanding in Europe, opening operations in Belgium and Lithuania. The number of active clients has also increased during the year by 30%, to 400, including companies such as Sony, KLM, Nokia, Air France and Apple. The development of close relationships with large portals and publishers has also greatly increased, thanks to being able to offer good deals both on shorter terms through online campaigns as well as long term partnerships with large advertisers.
